Tell me a bit about yourself.
I started doing Pilates a bit over twenty years ago and instantly became addicted to the feeling I felt after each class, not to mention the way Pilates transformed my body. It was nothing I had experienced in any other workout. I consider myself fortunate to live on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula with my husband where we’ve raised our 3 amazing children and a mischievous Dalmatian.
Wendy has been cultivating a loyal group of clients at her Pilates studio formerly known as Inspired by Pilates, for over ten years. Wendy has not only created a personal relationship with her students but also a community of like-minded individuals who spend time both in and outside the studio
What do I love about Pilates?
The unique-ness of Pilates — It’s ability to help people maintain strong, lean and agile bodies. This is why it is so incredibly appealing to so many demographics.
People really enjoy working muscles they never knew they had. The greatest part of doing Pilates is watching your body transform. Everything feels tighter and stronger, your muscles wrap around your bones, your posture improves, you feel taller, your chest is lifted, your shoulders aren’t hunched over, your neck is longer, your arms become more defined, but most importantly, your core becomes a powerhouse. It really is such a life-changing practice.
Form is such an important factor in Pilates. I’m big on making sure my clients have the correct form since each movement in Pilates is so targeted and precise; one small adjustment makes a world of a difference.
What’s my teaching style?
As a Diploma Certified Pilates Teacher and Educator for over twenty years has been able to refine her technique and teaching style.
I designed my classes to isolate and fatigue each muscle group, so my clients feel strong and see results simply said my classes are intense. While I teach different classes for varying skill levels, I want you to feel a true burn at the end of your workout and have fun whilst doing so.
I’m known to teach a challenging, motivating and focused classes, my routines are fast-paced and utilise slow and repetitive movements combined with quick transitions to increase your heart rate while still keeping the exercises low-impact.
My positive outlook on life and fun attitude is truly contagious. Prepare to fall in love with with Pilates and all that is has to offer it is Highly Addictive.
I truly do believe in Pilates, this is my life’s study and work.
